Gold Futures Close Lower In Line With US COMEX

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, following the weaker performance of gold futures in the US COMEX.

At the close, the spot-month April 2026 contract fell to US$4,576.50 per troy ounce from US$4,631.60 on Tuesday, while the May 2026 contract eased to US$4,600.40 per troy ounce from US$4,655.50.

The June, July, and August 2026 contracts also settled lower at US$4,612.40 per troy ounce compared with US$4,668.20 previously. 

Trading volume reduced to 12 lots from 19 lots on Tuesday, while open interest eased to 74 contracts from 80 contracts yesterday.

Physical gold was fixed at US$4,564.90 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on April 28, 2026.
