PIAM Re-Elects Ng Kok Kheng As Chairman For 2026-2028 Term

KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 (Bernama) -- Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) has re-elected Ng Kok Kheng as its chairman for the 2026-2028 term, effective April 29, 2026. 

Commenting on the appointment, Ng said he looks forward to leading the board of directors as they represent the industry in navigating a shifting landscape, with a focus on optimising growth opportunities while addressing emerging risks and technologies driven by regulatory reform, as well as the accelerating pace of global economic and climate volatility.

“In line with our vision to be the trusted voice of the general insurance industry, PIAM and its 23 members remain committed to fostering a sustainable ecosystem and ensuring Malaysians continue to benefit from a robust and resilient sector that provides comprehensive solutions for individuals, businesses, and communities,” he said in a statement.

Ng is an independent director with over 30 years of industry experience.

Meanwhile, the association has also re-elected Antony Lee, who is AIG Malaysia Insurance Bhd chief executive officer, as its deputy chairman.
