KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Tuesday, in line with the gains in the cash market.

The May 2026 and June 2026 contracts rose 1.5 points to 1,755.5 and 1,754.5, respectively. The September 2026 contract added 4.0 points to 1,736.0, and the December 2026 contract gained 1.0 points to 1,737.0.

Turnover was slightly higher at 5,760 lots from 5,725 lots on Monday, while open interest slipped to 37,831 contracts from 37,891 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) strengthened by 5.25 points or 0.30 per cent to 1,750.56 from Monday’s close of 1,745.31.
