KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday, in line with weaker performance in the cash market.

The May 2026 contract fell 10.0 points to 1,742.5 and the June 2026 contract shed 10.5 points to 17,41.5, while the September 2026 and the December 2026 contracts slid by 9.5 points to 1,723.0 and 1,724.5, respectively.

Turnover was slightly lower at 5,592 lots from 5,600 lots on Thursday, while open interest slipped to 36,232 contracts from 38,022 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slipped by 5.36 points, or 0.30 per cent, to 1,740.22, from Thursday's close of 1,745.58.
