MedTech Innovator Names 2026 APAC Accelerator Program Cohort

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- MedTech Innovator, the world’s largest accelerator of medical technology companies, has selected 20 high-potential medical technology (medtech) companies to participate in its 2026 Asia Pacific Accelerator Program.

Currently in its eighth year, the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Accelerator supports emerging medtech startups by connecting them with corporate partners, investors, mentors, clinicians, and industry stakeholders to help advance commercialisation and market access.

In a statement, MedTech Innovator said the 2026 cohort was selected from more than 680 applicants, with the final group representing the top three per cent of this year’s applicants.

As part of the selection process, 67 startups participated in the 2026 Pitch Event RoadTour, which featured four virtual and in-person pitch sessions involving 112 judges and companies from 14 countries.

“The companies selected for the 2026 APAC Accelerator Program stand out not only through the strength of their technologies but also through their potential to tackle significant healthcare challenges,” said MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Managing Director, Fredrik Nyberg.

Among the 20 companies selected are Ardens Lifescience (South Korea), BaiYiHealthcare Technology (China), Bioniks (Pakistan), BrainCapture (Denmark), CosmoInnovations (Australia), ImpriMed (United States) and Janitri Innovations (India).

The 2026 cohort will participate in the accelerator programme from June to October 2026, beginning with the Innovator Summit in San Francisco from June 3 to 4, followed by the Wilson Sonsini Medical Device Conference on June 5.

The programme will culminate at the 2026 APAC Grand Finals on Oct 26 in Singapore, where selected companies will compete for up to US$275,000 in cash prizes. (US$1=RM3.97)

The accelerator programme is supported by industry and government partners, including Johnson & Johnson MedTech, B. Braun Medical Industries, Siemens Healthineers, Blue Goat Cyber, FormlyAI, and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
