K-Startup Grand Challenge 2026 Issues Final Call For Global Applicants
KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- K-Startup Grand Challenge 2026 (KSGC 2026) is making a final call as applications close on June 17, offering global startups the opportunity to join South Korea’s flagship government-backed acceleration programme.
Beyond offering exposure, KSGC 2026 aims to help startups build business momentum in South Korea through deal-making opportunities, investor engagement and corporate partnerships.
That distinction has attracted 21,537 applicants since 2016, making KSGC, now in its 11th year, one of Asia’s leading inbound startup acceleration programmes, according to a statement.
KSGC provides selected startups with access to collaborations with more than 20 of Korea’s leading conglomerates for structured Proof-of-Concept (PoC) engagements, offering co-development opportunities with industry leaders seeking innovation partners.
Alongside PoC, KSGC facilitates continuous business matchmaking throughout the programme, including targeted introductions to corporates, distributors, and strategic partners across artificial intelligence, biotech, fintech, smart manufacturing, mobility, and energy.
KSGC participants will pitch before Korea’s most active venture capital (VC) and corporate venture capital (CVC) investors, with follow-on conversations facilitated by KSGC organisers at COMEUP 2026, South Korea’s largest startup festival.
Exclusive private investor relations sessions bring founders face-to-face with leading VCs and CVCs, offering a level of investor access few programmes in Asia can replicate.
The top 20 teams will share 380 million South Korean won in equity-free prize money, and the top eight teams will receive 250 million South Korean won in scale-up grants. Including participation and commercialisation support, total equity-free backing can reach 950 million South Korean won. (1,000 South Korean won = RM2.69)
