SunCon’s Johor Data Centre Substation Contract Value Rises To RM865.6 Mln

KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 (Bernama) -- Sunway Construction Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, has accepted change orders to the Project Services Requests for the construction and completion of substations for two data centre projects in Johor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, SunCon said the change orders were accepted from a multinational technology corporation headquartered in the United States.

It said the aggregate contract value of the works has increased to RM865.6 million, following the acceptance of change orders amounting to RM664.4 million.

“The works commenced on April 21, 2026. One of the projects is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027, while the other project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2028,” it said.

The company said that barring any unforeseen circumstances, the works are expected to contribute positively to the earnings of SunCon Group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 onwards.
