BANGKOK, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- Thailand has extended the exemption for foreign nationals from submitting the TM.6 Form when entering and exiting the country until April 30, 2025, said Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.

The exemption for the TM.6 Form, which is used to collect information about foreign visitors for inspection and monitoring purposes, was implemented on April 15 and originally set to expire today.

"The Cabinet meeting approved, as proposed by the Foreign Ministry, the extension of the exemption period for submitting the TM.6 Form for foreigners travelling into or out of the Kingdom at all 16 temporary immigration checkpoints, including both land and sea routes, from Oct 16, 2024, to April 30, 2025," she told reporters after chairing the Cabinet meeting at Government House on Tuesday.

Paetongtarn instructed the Interior Ministry to issue an announcement promptly to streamline travel procedures and promote tourism, thereby, stimulating the country’s economy.
