Malaysian Embassy In Indonesia Hosts Strategic Engagement Forum In Jakarta

JAKARTA, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- The embassy of Malaysia held a Strategic Engagement Forum on Wednesday to strengthen ties with Malaysian government-linked companies (GLCs) and major businesses operating in Indonesia.

The event featured a briefing by Trust Indonesia Research and Consulting executive director Azhari Ardinal, who focused on Indonesia’s political landscape and the implications of the upcoming presidential transition.

In his opening remarks, Malaysian ambassador to Indonesia, Datuk Syed Md Hasrin Tengku Hussin, emphasised the forum’s goal of deepening understanding of current issues and enhancing decision-making for attendees.

“As one of Malaysia’s largest trading partners in ASEAN, Indonesia holds significant importance in our economic strategy,” he stated, acknowledging the contributions of attendees to Malaysia’s investments in the republic and the strengthened economic cooperation between the two countries.

He expressed confidence that the discussions would yield valuable insights and networking opportunities, helping attendees achieve their business objectives in the country.

Syed Md Hasrin highlighted the forum as an opportunity for businesses to address operational challenges and collaborate with the embassy on effective solutions to ensure their success.

“We remain committed to supporting your ventures and ensuring that Malaysia’s economic footprint continues to expand and flourish in Indonesia.”
