Raja Saidatul Mardiah Appointed Royal Patron Of RHBA

SUNGAI BULOH, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Raja Saidatul Mardiah Almarhum Sultan Idris A’Fifullah has been appointed as the Royal Patron of the Roslin Hashim Badminton Academy (RHBA).

Raja Saidatul Mardiah said she agreed to become the Royal Patron of the academy after recognising the potential of the club, which is not only managed by a former world number one but also brings together talented young players.

"I hope that the Roslin Hashim Badminton Academy can go further with my presence here.

"I also hope to help the players under the academy’s patronage. It is my great hope to see these players reach greater heights," she said when met at the signing ceremony for the appointment here yesterday.

According to her, RHBA is not the first sports club she has served as a patron, as she also supports several clubs from other sports, such as taekwondo and motorsports.

Meanwhile, Roslin expressed his gratitude that Raja Saidatul Mardiah accepted the offer to become the patron of his academy.

"My goal is the same as hers, which is to develop talent. With this appointment, I hope RHBA can grow well and go further," he said.
