ASEAN Sec-Gen To Lead Delegation At Labour Ministers' Meeting In Singapore

JAKARTA, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat’s delegation at the 28th ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting (ALMM) and the 13th ALMM Plus Three in Singapore on Oct 30-31, 2024.

Themed “Strengthening Resilience and Promoting Innovation”,  the meeting will see Kao deliver opening remarks and provide updates on significant labour-related decisions from recent ASEAN Summits.

According to a statement from the ASEAN Secretariat, he will also engage in bilateral discussions with Singapore's Minister for Manpower Dr Tan See Leng, and the Philippines’ Secretary of Labour and Employment Bienvenido E. Laguesma.

This gathering marks the 50th anniversary of the ALMM, which has played a crucial role in fostering regional workforce collaboration since its establishment in 1975, aimed at enhancing the well-being and competitiveness of the workforce.
