SEACare 2025: Showcases Cutting-Edge Products, Shaping The Future Of Healthcare

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- SEACare 2025, a premier healthcare and pharmaceutical trade show in Southeast Asia, will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), here from April 23 to 25 next year.

Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd executive chairman Richard Teo said it will be held in partnership with several quarters, including the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM).

“SEACare 2025 is proud to partner with the NCSM, making it the first trade show of its kind in Malaysia with a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) component. Part of the proceeds will be contributed directly to NCSM, supporting their ongoing efforts in cancer care and awareness programmes,” he said.

He said SEACare 2025 will serve as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge products, forming new collaborations and leading discussions that shape the future of healthcare.

“SEACare 2025 directly supports Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030, which prioritises medical devices and pharmaceuticals as key sectors for development. 

“With a projected 25 per cent growth in participation and an estimated RM1 billion in potential sales, SEACare 2025 aligns with Malaysia's ambitions to position the country as a regional hub for healthcare progress,” he said in a statement today.

Teo said that by facilitating business matching through the International Sourcing Programme (INSP) and offering a platform for knowledge-sharing and innovation, SEACare aims to boost exports, attract high-value investments, and strengthen Malaysia’s position as a leader in the global healthcare market.

He said SEACare 2025 is built on the success of past editions of the trade show with a stronger focus on digital transformation and strategic partnerships in the healthcare sector.

“We’ve increased the scale, with 500 exhibitors and 15,000 trade visitors expected, and our goal is to achieve RM1 billion in potential sales. 

“This year’s focus on digital innovation reflects industry needs for efficient and effective healthcare solutions,” he said. 

According to Richard, SEACare 2025, themed 'Strategic Partnerships in Healthcare Innovation: Fostering Collaboration for Digital Transformation,' underscores the commitment to building an ecosystem that drives innovation through partnerships, creating opportunities for businesses to enhance healthcare access and efficiency.

He said SEACare 2025 will collaborate with industry players and authorities, including the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) for the INSP programme, the Medical Device Authority (MDA) for enhanced credibility of the show, and NCSM to support their efforts in cancer care.

Another key highlight for SEACare 2025, he said, is its partnership with the Medical Device Authority, which reinforces government support and credibility for the show.

As Malaysia's regulatory body for medical devices, MDA's involvement assures exhibitors and visitors of compliance with export and licensing standards, boosting confidence in the trade show's value, he added.

Teo said SEACare 2025 is also supported by the German Health Alliance (GHA), Malaysia Medical Device Manufacturers Association (PERANTIM), International Wellness Expo (IWE 2024), Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS), and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). 

“Exhibitors at SEACare 2025 will have the chance to showcase their products to over 15,000 trade visitors from across 61 countries, especially for the Southeast Asia region, including key buyers, distributors, and healthcare decision-makers.

“The event features 500 booths and offers business matching, knowledge-sharing sessions, and new product launches. For visitors, SEACare is a place to discover the latest innovations, explore new partnerships, and connect with industry leaders,” he added. 

Richard also emphasised that by bringing together top industry players from Malaysia and the ASEAN region, SEACare will help improve access to advanced medical technologies products and services, as well as foster partnerships that can uplift the standard of care throughout Southeast Asia. 

The soft launch of SEACare 2025 was held last Oct 29 and it was officiated by Deputy Health Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Saun. The event also witnessed the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Qube, MDA and NCSM.
