PUTRAJAYA, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- The public is invited to participate in the Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) programme and the 2024 National Convention on Civil Service Reform National Convention scheduled to be held from Nov 22 to 24 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC).
The programme secretariat also invites the public to provide direct feedback to government agencies for continuous improvement and to take advantage of the various services, as well as engage in activities offered at the event.
It said the 2TM programme and the convention, organised by the Prime Minister's Office with the cooperation of the Performance Leap Coordination Unit (PACU) and the Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) would be opened by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Nov 23.
The theme for the programme is "MADANI di hati, rakyat disantuni".
"This programme aims to give space to the people to better understand the efforts and initiatives of the MADANI Government, as well as the public service reform efforts that have been translated to directly benefit the people," according to the secretariat in a statement here today.
It said the programme aims to increase the public awareness of the government's direction and goals which are based on serving the interest of the people.
"Through periodic reports on the implementation status taken by the government, this programme promotes transparency and strengthens the people's trust in the government," read the statement.
According to the secretariat, the 2TM programme is specifically designed to provide direct exposure to the people on new government initiatives and policies, and the effectiveness of the MADANI economy initiative that has contributed to economic and social prosperity.
"Public input can further enhance the implementation of government policies and refine development initiatives to ensure they are more relevant and have a direct impact on people's lives," it stated.
During the convention, several discussion sessions involving representatives from the government and the private sector, including academicians and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) will also be held.
According to the secretariat, the convention aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of attendees, particularly those within the government service chain, to implement reforms that boost productivity and lead to high-performing public services.
Various activities will be held to ensure the active involvement of the community in the process of the country’s reform and development such as interactive sessions with government agencies, exhibitions featuring selected services and business matching.
These activities are designed as part of an effort to give access to the people to better understand and benefit from government initiatives, it said, adding that various other activities will be held throughout the three-day event, MADANI sales, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) exhibition and career carnival.
