CAIRO, Nov 11 (Bernama-SPA) -- Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi has praised Saudi Arabia's initiative in convening the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit to mobilise international efforts at all levels to halt the bloodshed in Gaza and Lebanon, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

He emphasised that the timing of the kingdom's call for the summit, set to take place in Riyadh on Monday, is pivotal in pressuring the global community to end the brutal aggression by the occupying entity in Gaza and Lebanon.

Al Yamahi underlined that Saudi Arabia's initiative is a continuation of the relentless endeavours spearheaded by the kingdom under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in backing the Palestinian people and their just cause on all fronts.

He reiterated that the Kingdom consistently aligns itself with the voice of truth and justice, sparing no effort in supporting just Arab causes and striving to achieve security and stability in the region
