JAKARTA, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- KPJ Healthcare Bhd has opened its fifth representative office in Indonesia in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, on Tuesday, according to the Consulate of Malaysia in Pekanbaru.
The healthcare provider’s other representative offices in Indonesia are in Banda Aceh, Batam, Bengkalis, and Pontianak.
Consul Mohammed Hosnie Shahiran Ismail said KPJ Healthcare's move to expand its representative office in Pekanbaru was a wise and strategic decision.
“Indonesia is a major and important market for Malaysia in the health tourism sector,” he said in a statement today.
He added that the government of Riau Province welcomed KPJ Healthcare's presence in Pekanbaru, as it could improve cooperation in the health services field by sharing best practices.
Additionally, KPJ Healthcare chief marketing officer Sherene Azli said the community would enjoy services such as coordinating consultations before going to Malaysia, getting advice from its medical experts, and coordinating logistics, including transport and accommodation.
“Until September 2024, KPJ Healthcare has treated more than 60,000 Indonesian patients through 29 KPJ Healthcare Hospitals located in every state in Malaysia," she said.
