Pray For Mobile Legends Malaysia's Success In Grand Final - Ahmad Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi wishes all the best to the Mobile Legends Malaysia e-sports team after it advanced to the Grand Final of the IESF World Esports Championship 2024.

He also called on all Malaysians to pray for the success of the Malaysian team, which is set to take on the Philippines in the final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at 2 pm (7 pm Malaysian time) today.

"Although I am now in Abu Dhabi, my heart is with the Mobile Legends Malaysia e-sports team that will be competing in the Grand Final against the Philippines in Riyadh.

"Alhamdulillah, last night they defeated a team from Indonesia (2-1) to make the final and are now one step away from hoisting the title.

"Let us all give them our support and pray for their success. May they win for Malaysia,” he posted on Facebook today.

Meanwhile, he also hopes that the Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS) can build a stadium specifically for e-sports in Bukit Jalil, in line with plans by Sarawak and Johor to build a similar facility in their states.

"I hope that in Bukit Jalil, the Malaysian government, through the KBS, will build a stadium specifically for e-sports to reflect our success,” he said.
