CYBERJAYA, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- Kunkwan International Mandarin Learning Centre (Kunkwan), in collaboration with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (Limkokwing University) is set to host the Suara Semua Carnival (SSC), a cross-cultural singing contest, on Dec 1.
The SSC will feature 10 Malay contestants singing Mandarin songs and 10 Chinese contestants performing Malay songs. It aims to promote cultural exchange and strengthen ties between Malaysia and China.
Founder and chief executive officer of Kunkwan Kent Ng emphasised that the event not only allows participants to showcase their talents but also fosters deeper cultural understanding.
“Kunkwan believes that language is a gateway and a bridge, enabling us to understand, respect, and appreciate both our own culture and the cultures of others.
“Through SSC, we can promote the language, culture, and uniqueness of Malaysia on the global stage,” he told a press conference on SSC here, today.
The carnival will take place at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology from 9 am on Dec 1. Highlights include a colouring contest, a special gallery showcasing historical photographs of the diplomatic relationship between Malaysia and China over the last 50 years and live performances by popular Malaysian artists.
The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) is the official media partner of SSC, with strategic partners including the Youth and Sports Ministry, Junior Chamber International Malaysia, and Persatuan Persahabatan Malaysia-China.
Limkokwing University’s Group Chief Brand Officer Datuk Tiffanee Marie Lim expressed her enthusiasm for being part of the initiative, which highlights the bravery and determination of young people challenging norms and paving new pathways.
