PUTRAJAYA, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- Participation in the National Energy Awards (NEA) 2025 will be open from tomorrow until Feb 19, 2025, to recognise the best practices of the local sustainable energy industry in applying renewable energy (RE) technology and the adoption of energy efficiency practices.
The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) in a statement today invited industry players and qualified entities to participate in the fifth edition of the NEA, organised by PETRA and the Malaysia Green Technology & Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) as the NEA Secretariat.
Industry players and qualified entities that have implemented and applied RE technology or energy efficiency practices are invited to submit their entries for NEA 2025 based on four specific categories.
The categories are Energy Management; Energy Efficient Building; Renewable Energy; and Special Awards.
"PETRA is confident that NEA will provide the best opportunity and platform for sharing best practices and implementation in the field of RE and energy efficiency.
"It also demonstrates the capability of the local industry to showcase innovative ideas and solutions in optimising supply and promoting the use of sustainable energy," said the statement.
Since its introduction in 2018, PETRA informed that NEA has successfully attracted the participation of 1,147 industry players and qualified entities, with 169 NEA winners selected to represent the country at the ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA).
In conjunction with Malaysia's chairmanship of ASEAN, PETRA intends to continue the excellence of national representatives at the AEA 2025 Awards Ceremony, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
