KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) — National squash ace Ng Eain Yow revealed that spending more time training in the United States with Shaun Moxham and Hadrian Stiff has provided a fresh perspective that enabled him to perform better.
The 26-year-old player said he also remains in close communication with his coach in Bristol, England to receive valuable feedback on his game.
“My coaching team has been the same. It’s just that I spend more time in the United States now. I think that has helped, and it’s something fresh (and) something new.
“I think I am doing the right thing. I don’t have to panic (because) sometimes it’s easy to lose focus when I am against the top five players in the world. Even if I lose, we work hard again, reset and process,” he said to reporters recently.
Eain Yow produced one of his best displays ever to defeat Egypt's Youseff Soliman 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 to win the men's title at the 2024 Malaysia Squash Cup on Nov 17.
It was his second home victory, having last won in the 2019 Malaysia Open.
