KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 (Bernama) -- The frequency of selected Rapid KL trains and buses will be increased between Nov 22 and 24 to facilitate travel for visitors attending the Two Years of MADANI Government Programme (2TM) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here.
In a statement today, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) said this move is part of its commitment to support the government's efforts in delivering information related to the country's direction directly to the people through beneficial programmes.
"The event opens its curtains tomorrow (Friday), and the location can be accessed using the rail and bus services operated by Rapid KL, namely through the KLCC LRT Station (Kelana Jaya line), KLCC MRT Station (Putrajaya line), and Raja Chulan Station (Kuala Lumpur Monorail)," the statement said.
"The frequency of trains for the Kelana Jaya LRT line and Putrajaya MRT line will be increased to every three and five minutes, starting from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday (Nov 23) This measure can provide more capacity and comfort for visitors to attend."
For bus services, Prasarana said Rapid KL will increase the number of buses to enhance the frequency of service on Route 300 (Pandan Indah-Lebuh Ampang); Route 303 (Taman Mulia Jaya-Lebuh Ampang) and Route 402. (Titiwangsa KLCC).
Visitors are also urged to use the ‘Park and Ride’ facility at selected rail stations with the same Touch 'n Go card to obtain a flat rate for parking fees.
"Rapid KL has also increased the number of auxiliary police and operations officers at selected rail stations and the KLCC bus hub to provide the best service and ensure passenger safety," it added.
