KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 (Bernama) -- Entrepreneurs eager to grow their businesses flocked to the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) booth at the Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) Programme at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), drawn by the promise of free business and cooperative consultations.

The three-day event, which began on Friday, attracted a steady stream of entrepreneurs and cooperative representatives eager to explore new business prospects, expand their networks, and gain insights into opportunities provided by KUSKOP’s various agencies.

Ezwan Hamdi Ellias, representing Koperasi Anak-Anak Melayu Gombak Berhad (KOWAGA), lauded the government initiative and emphasised the importance of engaging face-to-face with agency representatives to unlock business expansion opportunities, even on an international scale.

“I came here on behalf of my cooperative to seize every opportunity they offer. Our people sometimes wait for chances to come, but I believe it’s better to take action. God willing, we will see positive outcomes,” he said.

Ezwan was particularly keen to discuss business matchmaking opportunities and grant applications with SME Corp representatives.

Private sector marketing officer, known only as Howard, who visited the booth, shared that he was scouting for potential collaborations and business opportunities for his company.

According to KUSKOP’s Corporate Communications Unit deputy head, Norazean Hassan, consultation services and financial grants from KUSKOP agencies were major draws for the booth’s visitors.

“Visitors can also enjoy interactive activities such as Kahoot quizzes and lucky draws, which we’ve arranged to showcase the ministry’s achievements and initiatives over the past two years,” she said.

Adding to the attraction, free coffee was served throughout the event, with nasi lemak offered in the mornings, prepared by entrepreneurs under KUSKOP’s guidance.

Visitors also had the chance to explore a variety of offerings, including showcases of One District One Industry (SDSI) products, online marketing platforms like MyMall, and tourism-oriented products under Kirana. Additionally, SME Corp provided on-site registration for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and MyMall Entrepreneurs.

A highlight of the programme was the Rahmah MADANI Sales segment, led by KUSKOP in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), offering a wide range of products at affordable prices.

With the theme ‘MADANI di Hati, Rakyat Disantuni’, the 2TM programme, which concludes today, also featured entrepreneur booths, traffic summons payment counters, helmet exchange services, and much more, making it a hub of activity for both entrepreneurs and the public.
