KPKT Demands Apology From Opposition Over Accusations Against Minister Nga

27/11/2024 06:33 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 -- The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has called on the opposition to issue an apology for accusing its Minister, Nga Kor Ming of failing to address public issues in the Dewan Rakyat.

In a statement today, the ministry described the allegations as misleading, baseless, inaccurate and malicious.

“Various achievements of the KPKT included in the initial statement comprehensively addressed the issues raised. This demonstrates KPKT’s efforts to resolve public concerns while indirectly answering questions posed by Members of Parliament (MPs),” read the statement.

The ministry further said that written responses provide a more focused and detailed approach to addressing localised issues raised by MPs.

KPKT reiterated its commitment to enhancing the quality of life and ensuring the well-being of the people.

During the committee-level debate on the 2025 Supply Bill (Budget 2025) for KPKT in Parliament yesterday, Nga said the issues raised would be addressed in writing due to the ministry’s extensive scope and the limited 25-minute timeframe allocated for the session.

Following the session, several opposition MPs expressed dissatisfaction during a press conference, accusing Nga of failing to respond to their questions and providing irrelevant explanations.
