Floods: Sultan Abdul Halim Airport Runway Remains Closed

ALOR SETAR, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- The runway at the Sultan Abdul Halim Airport (AOR) remains closed due to flooding.

In a statement on the official Facebook page today, Malaysia Airports said that the terminal is still operational and passengers should contact their airlines for the latest flight schedule updates.

“Passengers are advised to stay safe and monitor announcements for further developments,” the statement read.

Kedah is one of the worst-hit states by the ongoing floods since last Wednesday, and the number of flood evacuees rose to 8,051 from 2,449 families this morning, up from 7,954 from 2,398 families last night.
