KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Filmmaker Sabri Yunus considers his nomination in the Best Director category at the 33rd Malaysia Film Festival (FFM33) as a recognition of the hard work of the entire production team behind the film ‘Duan Nago Bogho’.
He said the support and cooperation from every team member were the keys to the film's success.
“I am truly thankful to the entire production team who worked tirelessly and showed exceptional dedication to ensure the success of ‘Duan Nago Bogho’.
“This film is not just the work of one individual but the result of a collective effort involving collaboration, commitment and creativity from all team members,” he said in a statement.
Sabri, who is also a popular actor, considers his nomination in the Best Director category a significant milestone in his career.

“As a film director, I am still relatively young, even though I am no longer ‘young’, age-wise. I am very grateful to be selected as one of the finalists,” he said.
The 63-year-old director also praised the capabilities of current young directors in producing films and expressed confidence that they can create outstanding works that would not only attract audiences but also leave a profound impact on society.
“Let us together create a fresh and innovative filmmaking ecosystem, where young talents can emerge more confidently and boldly.
"Through this collective effort, I believe we can create inspiring works that challenge minds and convey meaningful messages to audiences, thus shaping a brighter and more dynamic future for the film industry," he said.
Sabri will compete with four other nominees in the Best Director category at the FFM33 awards presentation ceremony this Saturday. The other nominees are Nik Amir Mustapha (‘Imaginur’), Syafiq Yusof (‘Sheriff’), Tunku Mona Riza (‘Rain Town’) and Nizam Razak (‘Mechamato Movie’).
