PUTRAJAYA, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KLN) has deployed the Skuad Ihsan MADANI KLN on Sunday (Dec 22) to support post-flood recovery efforts in affected areas.
The Ministry, in a statement today, said the launching ceremony was officiated by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin. Also present at the launching were ministry officials and staff.
“Skuad Ihsan MADANI KLN, comprising 60 personnel from the Ministry, was formed in response to the directive by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, to mobilise the Skuad Ihsan MADANI Civil Servant Volunteer Team for post-flood management,” the statement read.
The team, according to the statement, will focus on cleaning and repainting public buildings and infrastructure damaged by the floods, in collaboration with the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), the Tumpat District Education Office, and the Pasir Mas District Council.
“This initiative underscores the commitment of civil servants in addressing disaster recovery and community support,” it added.
The ministry hopes that this initiative will not only aid flood victims in rebuilding their lives but also foster solidarity between the community and civil servants, reflecting the spirit of mutual support and resilience in times of need.
