KUANTAN, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has granted royal consent to rename the Office of Kebawah Duli Paduka Baginda (KDPB) Sultan Pahang to the Pahang Sultanate Council, effective Jan 1.
Comptroller of the Pahang Royal Household, Major General Datuk Mohamed Zahari Yahya, said that the renaming marked a significant milestone for the institution, which was responsible for managing all matters involving the Sultan of Pahang.
“This includes handling both official and unofficial affairs of the entire Pahang Palace,” he said in a statement today, shared via the Pahang Sultanate's official Facebook and Instagram pages.
"The Pahang Sultanate Council also functions in accordance with the Sultan’s role as the ruler and head of the state of Pahang and its territories, governing based on the constitutional laws of the state of Pahang," he added.
