JAKARTA, Dec 29 (Bernama-Antara) -- The government monitored several tourist attractions in West Java to ensure optimal services for people during the year-end holidays, reported Indonesian News Agency (Antara).
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Tourism said that the monitoring was conducted at tourist attractions in West Bandung district and Bandung city.
The activity involved a team from the NHI Tourism Polytechnic to ensure the quality of services at tourist destinations during the long holiday period.
In West Bandung, the team reviewed tourism services at the Floating Market and Mini City in the Lembang area.
Based on the team's review, the tourist attraction management anticipated an increase in tourist visits during the year-end holidays by arranging queues, providing digital ticket purchasing services, and expanding parking areas.
Additionally, the management provided a special lane for visitors with specific needs, such as the elderly and people with disabilities, and increased security personnel to maintain order.
The team also noted that the management ensured the cleanliness of public areas and prepared more trash bins during the holiday period.
The management also set up tents and provided umbrellas for visitors in case of rain.
According to the team, the two tourist attractions in Lembang experienced a 30 per cent increase in tourist visits during the holidays, reflecting high public interest in visiting destinations in the Lembang area.
It was also noted that dozens of small businesses in the culinary, handicrafts, and souvenir sectors were present to offer their products to tourists.
