KESUMA's Ihsan MADANI Squad Carries Out Five Post-flood Missions In East Coast States

TANAH MERAH, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Human Resources’ (KESUMA) Ihsan Madani Wira Squad has carried out five post-flood relief missions in the east coast states of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang.

KESUMA deputy secretary-general (Operations) Datuk Sutekno Ahmad Belon said that the ministry’s assistance included repairing electrical items damaged by the flood, conducting cleaning works, and delivering food baskets.

“We also deploy officers and students to repair damaged electrical appliances so they can be used again,” he told reporters after officiating the KESUMA Ihsan Madani Wira Squad Programme at Masjid Haji Abdullah Mukim Panglima Bayu here today.

Earlier, 200 volunteers took part in a gotong-royong to clean the mosque, repair electrical equipment, and inspect the wiring.

The squad also distributed food baskets to 125 residents affected by the floods that hit Kampung Panglima Bayu on Dec 29 last year.
