KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ) donated 564 disaster aid kits to flood evacuees at relief centres in Kota Tinggi on Saturday and Sunday.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, the donation was gathered at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin with the assistance of the Johor Military Forces (JMF) before being presented to the recipients.
JMF officer Lieutenant Mohamad Farid Embok Mosik was present to receive the aid.
YSIJ Senior Manager Shah Reza Md Kanafe said the foundation was always ready to provide aid to flood victims, ensuring they received help immediately after being placed in relief centres.
“So far (as of yesterday), a total of 12 relief centres in Kota Tinggi have received disaster aid kits delivered by JMF members.
“I sincerely hope this donation will, to some extent, ease the burden of the flood victims,” he said in the post.
Shah Reza also expressed his appreciation to JMF for their assistance in delivering the donation to the relief centres in Kota Tinggi.
