LIMBANG, Jan 20 (Bernama) -- The Limbang Division Social Welfare office has distributed more than RM1.5 million in aid this January, benefiting 3,129 recipients across the Limbang and Lawas districts.
Sarawak Deputy Minister of Women, Children, and Community Wellbeing, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam, said the assistance comprised RM1,404,900 in federal aid and RM146,250 in state aid.
Speaking at the donation presentation ceremony held in conjunction with the 2025 Chinese New Year (CNY) Sejambak Kasih programme today, he highlighted that the total assistance disbursed in these two districts amounted to RM16,688,350 last year.
“Donations like these are a noble effort that significantly impacts those in need. I firmly believe in the concept that the more you give, the more you receive,” he said.
