KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's former top Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) player Muhammad Faris Zakaria, better known as Soloz, believes that it will be difficult for fans to see the SEA Games squad in Thailand later this year being represented by players from just one team.
He said this is because most MLBB teams in Malaysia are made up of imported players, with only a few using local players.
Therefore, he suggested that a separate selection process be held to choose players who are truly qualified to represent Malaysia in the biennial event.
"For me, if it's a team selection, I think it's fine, but not all of their players are local. If any, maybe just one or two teams like Todak.
"I think maybe we should hold an individual selection to choose the best players for the SEA Games," he said to the media after the premiere of the movie Soloz: Game of Life.
He suggested that a separate competition be held to select players, instead of focusing only on existing tournaments.
At the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games, Malaysia's MLBB team won silver and bronze in the men's and women's categories respectively.
