PJRM In Perak Recorded RM64 Mln In Sales Last Year

IPOH, 24 Jan (Bernama) – The Rahmah MADANI Sales Programme (PJRM) in Perak generated RM64 million in sales from 945 events last year, attracting 1.6 million visitors.

The Perak branch director of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), Datuk Kamalludin Ismail said the ministry plans to organise 1,416 PJRM events statewide this year for the benefit of two million visitors, while also highlighting the programme's potential for significant savings for consumers.

“For example, a family spending RM200 a week could save between RM30 and RM40 by shopping at PJRM events,” he told reporters after launching the state-level PJRM Back to School event.

He also announced that 37 PJRM Back to School events would be held this year and urged the public, particularly low-income groups, to take advantage of the PJRM programmes for more affordable shopping.
