Suspect In Japan's Nagano Station Stabbing Arrested

TOKYO, Jan 26 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack near Nagano Station on Wednesday, where three people were stabbed, leaving one dead and two injured, according to Xinhua, citing local media report.

The suspect, identified as Yusuke Yaguchi, is a resident of Nagano City. The police entered his apartment located about 3 kilometres from the attack scene and made the arrest on Sunday, national broadcaster NHK reported.

The suspect has remained silent during police questioning, the report said.

According to the police, the victims had no prior connection to the suspect. Authorities are treating the case as a random act of violence.
