Ewon Leads Bank Rakyat Delegation In Courtesy Visit To Sarawak Governor

KUCHING, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick led a delegation from Bank Rakyat in a courtesy visit to Sarawak Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

In a statement, the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (KUSKOP) said that during the visit, Bank Rakyat discussed its plans for business expansion, establishing service branches in Sarawak and its corporate social responsibility programmes.

Wan Junaidi, a former minister in the same ministry, was also briefed on several new initiatives, including the proposed Cooperatives Act, updates from the Malaysian Cooperative Entrepreneurship University and specific developments in Sarawak.

Present during the courtesy visit were KUSKOP secretary-general Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud, Bank Rakyat chairman Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak and acting chief executive officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff.
