KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 (Bernama) -- A lively and vibrant lion dance performance was held at the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) headquarters today in celebration of Chinese New Year, creating a festive atmosphere and spreading joy throughout the workplace.
The event, hosted by Sea Limited, a leading global consumer internet company based in Singapore, was attended by Bernama employees from all departments and aimed to foster a sense of community and celebration while highlighting the significance of this major festive occasion.
Sea’s Country Head for Malaysia, Terence Siau, said the initiative was part of the company’s effort to spread festive cheer.
“We are celebrating the Chinese New Year, and all we want to do is to bring joy and fun to everyone, including our Bernama friends.
“It is time to celebrate this special occasion and spread joy to everyone,” he told Bernama.
The lion dance, a traditional Chinese custom symbolising good luck and fortune, is often performed during Chinese New Year to bring prosperity and ward off evil spirits.
Among those present at the event were Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin and editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj.
