KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 (Bernama) -- The Running Man 'Run 2 U Live in Kuala Lumpur’ event at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, last Saturday was a lively and fun-filled affair.

The 5,000-odd fans who turned up to watch and interact with the stars of the popular South Korean reality-variety show ‘Running Man’ were certainly not disappointed with the entertaining and amusing antics of Yoo Jae-suk, Ha Dong-hoon (Haha), Jee Seok-jin, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-hyo and Yang Se-chan.

Even though they were not fluent in English except for Jong-kook, it did not stop the ‘Running Man’ cast, who last performed in Malaysia in 2017, from interacting warmly with their fans.

The event, organised by SunStrong Entertainment, opened at 5 pm with the popular BTS song ‘Spring Day’, with the cast appearing on stage dressed in black and white outfits.

Se-chan, after uttering "Apa khabar" (How are you?),  "mantap" (steady) and "Terima kasih" (Thank you),  suddenly blurted out, “Saya kacak, kan” (Am I not handsome?), “Rindu tak saya” (Did you miss me?) and “Jom kita kahwin” (Let’s get married), sparking laughter among the audience.

After introducing themselves, the six performers played two interactive games, ‘Who Is Potman’ and ‘Cosplay Running Man’, entertaining the audience with their spontaneous and natural humour. Two lucky fans, who were invited on stage, had the chance to compete with Jong-kook and take selfies with the ‘Running Man’ cast.

The cast continued with their antics in the cosplay competition, dressed in unique costumes like a wedding dress and cockroach outfit. The event became even more exciting when the winners of the cosplay contest among the fans were given the opportunity to meet the ‘Running Man’ team, with the fans dressed as Jae-suk and Ji-hyo drawing the most attention.

The show continued with solo and duet performances by each cast member. Se-chan stole the spotlight by imitating Freddie Mercury’s iconic style while singing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, while Seok-jin mesmerised the audience with John Legend's ‘All of Me’. Ji-hyo charmed the crowd with a cute performance of BIBI’s ‘Bam Yang Gang’.

Fans were even more thrilled when Jong-kook sang his ballad ‘One Man’ before singing ‘We Need To Talk’ with Ji-hyo.

The fun continued as Jong-kook, dressed up as Rosé from the South Korean girl group Blackpink, and Jae-suk imitated Bruno Mars while singing ‘APT’.

The energy escalated with Haha and Se-chan performing hit songs like ‘Whiplash’ and ‘Dang Diggi Bang’, a mix of reggae fusion and hip-hop, getting the audience to dance along.

The two-hour concert ended with the cast singing their iconic ‘Running Man’ song, ‘I Like It’.
