Ernie Zakri Embraces Love, Happiness In ‘Nostalgia’

PETALING JAYA, Feb 27 (Bernama) – Popular singer Ernie Zakri has released her latest pop single titled ‘Nostalgia’, which highlights the theme of happiness in love.

Completely composed by Indonesian singer Allan Anderson, Ernie describes the song, which carries a slight retro touch, as a dedication to loved ones.

"The vibe of this city pop song is different from the songs I have sung before. It feels like offering a new flavour to my fans.

"This song can be dedicated to anyone we love, whether it's our parents, siblings, friends or fans," she told Bernama here recently.

Commenting on the recording process, the ‘Masing-Masing’ and ‘Aura’ singer said despite having a packed schedule, her collaboration with the Indonesian composer resulted in something unique.

"Allan is very creative. We experimented with various vocal tones and harmonies, and the outcome was well-structured," she said.

The winner of the Best Vocal award at the recent 39th Anugerah Juara Lagu awards show said ‘Nostalgia’ showcases a style reminiscent of singer Datuk Sheila Majid.

"It differs from my previous works. This single also reflects a new direction in my upcoming projects, giving a fresh touch to my songs," she said.

‘Nostalgia’ is currently available on all digital platforms, while its music video premiered exclusively on Ernie Zakri's official YouTube channel yesterday.
