MOSCOW, March 11 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) - One person has died and three others have been injured in Moscow Region’s Leninsky District and Domodedovo as a result of a drone attack, Governor Andrei Vorobyov said on Tuesday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"Today at 04:00 [01:00 GMT], a massive drone attack began on Moscow and the Moscow Region. At this moment, one person is known to have been killed and three injured in Leninsky District (Vidnoye) and Domodedovo (Yam village)," Vorobyov said on Telegram.
He added that drone debris fell on an apartment building in Ramenskoye, where at least seven apartments from the 19th to 22nd floors were damaged. Twelve people were evacuated, including three children.
"All emergency services are now working where people need help," Vorobyov said.
In another report, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the Russian air defence has so far shot down 69 Ukrainian drones flying toward Moscow.
"The Defence Ministry's air defence forces have shot down 69 enemy drones flying toward Moscow so far," Sobyanin said on Telegram.
Emergency services are working at the sites of the fallen debris, Sobyanin said on Telegram.
Activities at Zhukovsky and Domodedovo airports were temporarily limited.
