Three Heritage Players Expected To Arrive Next Week - Cklamovski

PETALING JAYA, March 13 (Bernama) -- The Harimau Malaya squad will get a boost with the expected arrival of three heritage players next week ahead of the third-round 2027 Asian Cup Qualifier against Nepal on March 25.

National football team head coach Peter Cklamovski confirmed that the registration process for the heritage players is now in its final phase.

"All Malaysian players and the process of the heritage is in the final stages and positive news will come next week for a few players.

“The maximum is three players and more will come in June,” he told a press conference at which a 27-player list for the qualifier against Nepal was unveiled.

Previously, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) was awaiting approval from the Malaysian government to secure citizenship for four new Harimau Malaya heritage players.

FAM was also reported to be in the process of completing documentation for four other players.

The first Asian Cup Qualifier match between Malaysia and Nepal will be held at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
