KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) -- The Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk initiative is being targeted for expansion to 30 locations nationwide within 36 months, said MADANI Monitoring Unit director-general Mohd Khalid Mohamed Latiff.
He said the targeted period depends on the cooperation of corporate and private entities in making the initiative a success since its implementation adopts the whole-of-nation approach, involving the joint efforts of ministries, government agencies and the private sector.
"To ensure we can expand the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk concept nationwide, we welcome corporate sectors to come and join us on this journey.
"For example here (KL Sentral), MRCB has taken proactive responsibility to provide a place at KL Sentral, while in Alamanda, Putrajaya Holdings has taken the proactive initiative (to provide a site) to enable the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk initiative to be expanded,” he said.
He told reporters this after attending the launch of the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk at KL Sentral here today.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said in a statement that based on the encouraging achievement of the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk in Alamanda Putrajaya, he believes that the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk at KL Sentral can achieve even better performance with several reforms introduced.
Earlier, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said at the launch that the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk initiative would be expanded with the opening of a third kiosk site at the One Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, which is expected to be launched in April.
Mohd Khalid said his unit is also holding talks with the Johor government to identify corporate companies and sponsors to foster cooperation in expanding the initiative.
"This is an extremely good effort to empower services for the people to make public service delivery more effective and efficient. This is part of the Chief Secretary to the Government's own agenda, which is part of the civil service reform agenda,” he said.
In addition, he said a total of 4,689 transactions were recorded at the Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk at the Alamanda Shopping Centre in January, with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) kiosk recording the highest number of transactions (2,981).
He added that in addition to EPF, the kiosks with the next highest number of transactions at the shopping centre were the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and MyDigital ID.
The Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk integrates more than 100 government services from six key agencies, namely JPJ, Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), Pos Malaysia, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, EPF and MyDigital ID.
The Sentuhan MADANI Kiosk is an initiative by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim under Budget 2025, aimed at accelerating the digitalisation and integration of government services at key locations, providing Malaysians with greater accessibility beyond regular office hours.
