Rakuten Trade Sdn Bhd vice-president of equity research Thong Pak Leng said Wall Street closed broadly lower as traders pared holdings amid escalating tensions between China and the United States.

“Back home, given the cautious sentiment, we expect the FBM KLCI index to hover within the 1,615–1,625 range today,” he told Bernama.
