KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- The electricity supply following a supply disruption incident at the Independent generator station, Edra Power Plant, Melaka has been fully restored at 5.54 pm today.
The development was announced by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) via a post on Facebook a short while ago.
“TNB would like to thank all affected customers for their patience and apologise for the inconvenience caused by this supply disruption,” the statement said.
It said the public can report any supply disruption via SARA the Chatbot channel on mytnb.com, call 15454, send a message on Facebook TNB Careline or X @Tenaga_Nasional and email tnbcareline@tnb.com.my.
Earlier, TNB confirmed that several areas around the Klang Valley and Johor Baharu had their electricity supply cut off following a supply disruption incident at the independent generator station, Edra Power Plant in Melaka today.
In a statement, TNB said that a technical disruption was detected at 4.12 pm at the power station, which had tripped, causing a load loss of 2,200 megawatts (MW).
However, the statement said that several areas affected by separate power supply disruptions unrelated to the incident had yet to be restored.
“Our team will continue with repair efforts as quickly as possible.
“TNB greatly appreciates the patience of affected customers and apologises for the inconvenience caused.
“Our priority is to restore supply safely and as soon as possible to ensure system stability and customer comfort,” the statement said.
