KUALA NERUS, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- The Agro MADANI Sales programme has continued to show positive impact since its launch in 2023, with 1,778 events held nationwide as of September 2025, generating more than RM32.8 million in transactions.
During the same period, the initiative also recorded consumer savings amounting to RM9.8 million and involved the participation of more than 24,000 entrepreneurs.
Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) chairman Aminuddin Zulkipli said a joint study conducted with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) on the programme’s effectiveness in 2024 found that the “savings factor” earned a five-star rating across all states.
“This shows that the Agro MADANI Sales have truly succeeded in easing the cost of living for consumers, particularly through the MADANI Combo, which offers essential goods at significantly lower prices.
“This is not merely a figure on paper, but a reflection of government policies which directly benefit the people. FAMA will continue to ensure that this programme remains high-impact, and serves as one of the key instruments in helping the government address cost of living pressures,” he said.
He said this in his speech at the Terengganu MADANI Agro Sales Carnival 2025, here, today.
Elaborating further, Aminuddin said that a total of 101 programmes had been implemented in Terengganu, generating sales worth RM1.7 million and benefiting nearly 800 local entrepreneurs across the state.
“This is a proud achievement, which demonstrates that the people of Terengganu are not only smart consumers, but also strong supporters of local products,” he said.
The four-day Agro MADANI Agro Sales Carnival @ Terengganu 2025, beginning today, at the Terengganu Sports Complex, Gong Badak, is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors and generate over RM1.2 million in sales.
