KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Gamuda Bhd continues its support Malaysia's largest and most influential construction industry event -- the International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo 2025, to drive sustainable, digitalised construction and foster collaboration across Malaysia and ASEAN.
Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Qube) executive chairman Richard Teo said the continued collaboration with Gamuda as key industry partner adds tremendous value to ICW & BuildXpo.
“As one of Malaysia’s most innovative and respected construction players, Gamuda’s involvement is a testament to the importance of industry leaders coming together to champion transformation, technology adoption, and sustainability.
“The company’s support enables us to create a more impactful platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and business opportunities across the construction ecosystem," he said.
Meanwhile, Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia chief executive Zainora Zainal said Gamuda’s leadership in sustainable and innovative construction reflects shared goals of ICW to position Malaysia and ASEAN at the forefront of construction excellence.
“Together with partners like Gamuda, we are advancing our mission to build a progressive, inclusive, and globally competitive construction industry that can rise to the challenges of tomorrow,” she said.
ICW and BuildXpo 2025, themed 'Constructing the Future of ASEAN,' will be held from Oct 28 to 30 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), serving as the anchor event during Malaysia’s ASEAN 2025 Chairmanship.
Hosted by the Ministry of Works and CIDB Malaysia since 1998, ICW 2025 marks its 27th edition, reaffirming its status as one of the region’s leading construction industry platforms. BuildXpo, the Malaysia International Building and Construction Industry Showcase, is the official trade showcase of ICW, and is jointly organised by CIDB Malaysia and Qube.
"While ICW focuses on conferences and knowledge exchange, BuildXpo is a dynamic marketplace where exhibitors present the latest construction technologies, materials, and sustainable practices, fostering high-value business opportunities and collaborations," the statement said.
This year’s edition will feature over 350 booths showcasing the latest construction technologies and solutions, alongside high-level conferences such as the International Construction Transformation Conference (ICTC), Digital Construction Summit (DCS) and Women in Building Malaysia (WIBM) Roundtable.
Other highlights include the International Sourcing Programme organised with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), which connects Malaysian exhibitors to global buyers, and youth and skills competitions such as the QUEST Award 2025, National Crane Competition, and MSSA Open Ideas Competition.
ICW & BuildXpo 2025 invites construction professionals, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and students to participate in this transformative platform that is shaping the future of ASEAN’s built environment.
