Labuan Gears Up For Borneo Arts Festival 2025 With Dazzling Culture Performances

LABUAN, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Preparations are in full swing for the much-anticipated Borneo Arts Festival 2025, which will be held from Nov 13 to 17 at the Labuan International Sea Sport Complex.

The event promises new attractions and cultural showcases, making it one of the year’s most memorable events.

Labuan Corporation (LC) and Putrajaya Corporation are working round the clock to ensure the smooth organisation of the annual festival, which continues to serve as a platform celebrating the region’s diverse cultural heritage.

LC chief executive officer Mohd Sukuran Taib said this year’s edition would feature exciting new elements designed to attract more visitors to the island and elevate the festival’s overall experience.

“We expect at least 30,000 visitors to visit Labuan througout the event...among the highlights are five ethnic traditional houses, cultural diversity performances, traditional crafts displays, and a special ‘glow in the dark’ showcase,” he told Bernama today.

Mohd Sukuran said the collaboration between LC and Putrajaya Corporation aims to enhance the festival’s appeal while further promoting Labuan as a destination of cultural and tourism significance.

The festival will be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, and several Malaysian artistes are scheduled to perform throughout the five-day celebration.
