Landas Azam Kasihnya Warisan 1 Is ‘Juara Sungai’ Of 2025 Sarawak Regatta

KUCHING, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- The Landas Azam Kasihnya Warisan 1 has been crowned as ‘Juara Sungai’ in the main category of  Perahu Bidar (30 male rowers) at the 2025 Sarawak Regatta that ended today.

The team wins the Sarawak Governor’s Cup and RM30,000, while second-placed Bintulu Development Authority BDA) 10 won RM20,000 and third-placed UDAK 36 won RM10,000, with prizes presented by Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, in the presence of Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

The Royal Highnesses were accompanied by Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, along with Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Abang Johari had earlier wowed the audience during the closing ceremony when he rode a jet ski as a gimmick before the race began.

The Sultan and Sultanah of Pahang also visited the 2025 Sarawak Borneo Craft Festival held along Tebingan Kuching after the closing ceremony.
