SHAH ALAM, Nov 4 (Bernama) — Popular singer and actress Nabila Razali returns to the local music scene with her latest single titled #BalasBaik, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her artistic journey after taking a brief break to focus on her family.

The new work not only showcases a more mature and calm side of Nabila, or Nur Nabila Mohd Razali, but also reflects a phase in her life where she is emotionally stronger and more positive in facing challenges.

“This song reminds me that peace comes when we don’t respond to negativity with hatred, but instead with sincerity and calmness. If we truly practise it, when people do wrong to us but we respond with kindness, insya-Allah, the world will become a more peaceful place,” she told Bernama recently.

Further elaborating, the 32-year-old said lyrics like ‘Buat jahat jahat, balas baik’ (“When others do wrong, respond with kindness”) highlight the message of inner strength and the ability to make peace with the past without holding grudges, while also reflecting her personal growth as a woman and artiste.

“Responding with goodness is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of a big heart. That is the true power of calmness. I’ve reached a stage in life where I don’t need anger to know who is right — a simple smile is enough to protect our energy and inner peace,” she said.

Featuring a blend of modern pop elements and trap inspirations, #BalasBaik also highlights a new side of Nabila — more confident and bold in experimenting, yet still retaining her softness and identity as a hijab-wearing artiste.

“I want to prove that hijab-wearing women can also bring modern pop music with their own style. The hijab is not a limit, but an inspiration,” she said.

To ensure the best performance quality, she also underwent intensive vocal and stage stamina training for one month.

“I hope this song serves as a reminder that kindness never goes out of style. The world can be harsh, but when we remain gentle and strong at the same time, that is the true beauty of being human,” she added.

The song, composed by Audi Mok and Shazee Ishak, is now available on all digital platforms.
