KANGAR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- The National Film Development Corporation (Finas) has for the first time partnered with primary and secondary schools in Perlis through the organisation of the Prints and Pixels Expo (PriPEx) 2025, aiming to cultivate a creative culture and develop new talent in filmmaking among students.

Finas chief executive officer Datuk Azmir Saifuddin Mutalib said the collaboration was crucial in providing students with insight into the creative industry and exposure to potential career opportunities in digital content fields.

“PriPEx is held in conjunction with the Perlis State Level Digital Utilisation and Technology Award (DUTA) 2025. We want young people to see that the creative industry has a future and a career that they can pursue,” he told reporters after attending PriPEx 2025 at Dewan 2020 here today.

Azmir Saifuddin added that the programme allowed students to gain hands-on experience in short films, documentaries, TikTok content and social media, with guidance from industry professionals.

The PriPEx 2025 programme kicked off yesterday and will run for four days.

Azmir Saifuddin said that PriPEx 2025 also served as a platform for FINAS to broaden its collaboration with schools in developing a creative generation capable of critical thinking and experimenting with new technology.
