KUALA SELANGOR, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- The opening of the Eco Grandeur Interchange on the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) will bring significant socio-economic benefits in line with the launch of the new access route, said Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.
He said the opening of the interchange provides greater accessibility for users from Eco Business Park V and Eco Grandeur to other major highway networks, including the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), the West Coast Expressway (WCE), and the Damansara–Shah Alam Expressway (DASH).
“In addition, this new access will create fresh opportunities for communities along the west coast corridor. I have been informed that many foreign investors have already established their businesses in Eco Business Park V.
“Undoubtedly, this new alignment will make the area more accessible and a more attractive destination for investors, while further stimulating the industrial sector,” he said in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Eco Grandeur Interchange on LATAR here today.
Also present were Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and EcoWorld chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah.
The Eco Grandeur Interchange, located at kilometre (KM) 7.50 between the Ijok and Puncak Alam interchanges on the LATAR Expressway, was developed by EcoWorld to provide new access to the mixed development areas of Eco Business Park V and Eco Grandeur in Mukim Ijok, Kuala Selangor.
Nanta said the new alignment will help ease long-standing traffic congestion, particularly along Jalan Meru Tambahan and Persiaran Mokthar Dahari.
Meanwhile, Amirudin in his speech said the opening of the interchange will serve as a gateway to boosting economic prosperity in Selangor’s Northern Corridor.
With a route stretching 3.07 kilometres, he said it will serve as a continuation of the new alignment connecting Ijok and Kuala Selangor specifically.
