KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysians Rachel Arnold, Aifa Azman and Aira Azman, all advanced to the second round of the China Open squash tournament after defeating their opponents today.
In the action held in Shanghai, Rachel advanced after defeating Hong Kong's Tong Tsz Wing 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, 12-10, and the defending champion will meet Nele Gilis from Belgium who received a bye in the first round.
As for Aira, she confirmed her place in the second round after defeating compatriot Ainaa Amani Ampandi 11-6, 13-11, 11-7, thus booking a meeting with Amina Orfi from Egypt to find a slot in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Aira's sister, Aifa, also had no problem defeating Ireland's Hannah Craig 11-9, 11-2, 11-7 and is scheduled to meet seventh seed Salma Hany from Egypt in the second round.
